City of Friends the Movie is coming!

The agreement marks the start of City of Friends 2.0 – a large-scale effort to further develop the brand and the universe for both existing and new fans. The project is built on a solid foundation of owners who have followed the development closely for many years, and who have contributed both capital, patience and continuity in an industry characterized by rapid change.

Qvisten Animation is behind a number of Norway's most famous animated films, including Flåklypa, Just Super, The Brothers Gruff, In the Forest of Huckybucky, Three Robbers and a lion and Captain Sabertooth, and recognizes significant potential in the City of Friends universe.

A unique Norwegian brand

Fredrik Kiøsterud, CEO of Qvisten Animation, is full of praise for the collaboration:

Global ambition with local roots

The collaboration will combine Qvisten's production expertise with City of Friends's educational core. The goal is to build a strong film production with roots in Bergen and Norway, while developing the project with an international audience in mind.
